Masyarakat Demokrasi - Jurnal Ilmiah Administrasi Publik is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Master of Public Administration Program, Universitas Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH, Bengkulu.

Philosophically, the name Masyarakat Demokrasi (Democratic Society) reflects the nation’s aspiration to cultivate a dynamic, participatory, and critically engaged society in the governance process. Active citizen involvement in public affairs is recognized as a fundamental pillar in establishing responsive, transparent, and accountable governance. A democratic society, in this context, is not merely a political ideal but a practical foundation for realizing a Welfare State oriented toward social justice, public value, and collective prosperity.

Substantively, the journal focuses on the development of Public Administration as both a scientific discipline and a field of practice. It emphasizes contemporary issues in public governance, public policy, bureaucratic reform, institutional strengthening, public service innovation, digital governance, decentralization, and sustainable development. The journal promotes interdisciplinary perspectives, particularly at the intersection of Public Administration with sociology, political science, law, economics, education, and environmental studies.
