Modern educational practice in this century is characterized by the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in all learning and teaching processes that are useful for facilitating access to various information resources needed and integrating, eliminating, simplifying, and automating various manual work in higher education. Prof.DR University Hazairin.SH seeks to utilize ICT by providing hotspot services for students, lecturers, employees, and foundations. However, the use of hotspots is experiencing problems due to the ease with which people can connect to the Hotspot network at Prof.DR University Hazairin, SH Bengkulu, Lack of security on the Hotspot network at  University Prof.DR Hazairin, SH Bengkulu. The purpose of this research is the implementation of Captive Portal is expected to facilitate the management and monitoring of users in hotspot areas at University Prof.DR Hazairin, SH Bengkulu, implemented the Captive Portal system into the University Hotspot network. to the internet, Improved security with user management hotspot network of University Prof.Dr Hazairin, SH Bengkulu. With a data security system using a captive portal, which was developed to make it easier for administrators to monitor and control users connected to the network and can limit bandwidth usage. In terms of security, the use of a data security system using a captive portal is also relatively safe for user data, because it utilizes a tunneling system with SSL which will encrypt all data sent by the client and server hotspot. for students to connect to hotspots without complicated procedures such as asking for a WEP KEY password (as in the previous system). Students do not need to register to be able to use the hotspot service.
