This study aims to determine the appropriate media size and dose of NPK fertilizer for the growth and yield of upland rice plants. The research was carried out from October 2020 to January 2021, in the village of Sungai Hitam, Pondok Kelapa District, Central Bengkulu Regency. using the RAKL design with 3 treatments and 3 replications. The main treatments of 3 levels were polybag media sizes 3 kg, 4 kg, 6 kg, and the 3 levels of NPK fertilizer dosage were 100kg/ha NPK fertilizer dose, 150kg/ha NPK fertilizer dose, and 200kg/ha NPK fertilizer dose. The results showed that the size of the growing media had a significant effect on plant vegetative growth, but did not affect the yield and yield of upland rice in polybag cultivation. The dose of NPK fertilizer affects the growth and yield of upland rice plants. The best results were obtained with fertilization with a dose of 200 kg NPK/ha. The addition of a fertilizer dose of up to 200 kg NPK/ha will be followed by an increase in yield and yield components for each size of the media used
