Abstract

Kebutuhan pengembangan model pembelajaran geografi yang mampu mengasah aspek kesadaran ekologis dan karakter lingkungan dapat dikembangkan dengan mengintegrasikan pendekatan ecopedagogy. Peneliti melakukan suatu inovasi untuk meningkatkan kuali­tas pembela­jaran dengan mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan ecopedagogy agar dapat digunakan sebagai sumber rujukan dalam pembelajaran Kurikulum Nasioal dan bagian inovasi pembelajaran Abad 21. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan mulai tahap desain, tahap pengem­bangan, tahap implementasi dan tahap evaluasi untuk menghasilkan langkah prosedural model pembelajaran geografi berbasis pendekatan ecopedagogy. Langkah prosedural ini dihasilkan dengan mengi­kuti desain model ADDIE. Tujuannya untuk menghasilkan sintaks yang sistematis dalam mengarahkan pada tujuan pembelajaran yang spesifik, yaitu untuk menumbuhkan karakter pro-lingkungan. Subjek uji coba adalah siswa dan guru SMA di Kota Banda Aceh. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan skor validasi, model pembelajaran Ecopedagogy Learning (EL) dapat dikatakan valid dengan perolehan 85,5 persen (rancangan) dan 82,1 persen (materi) namun dianjurkan revisi kecil. Selain itu, hasil perhitungan skor efektifitas respon guru mencapai 88,6 persen. Hal ini dapat dikategorikan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model EL dalam pembelajaran geografi efektif.
