Abstract

The long term goal of this research is helped preserve the culture Serawai in South Bengkulu district. The specific objectives to be achieved in this research is to write a book Serawai culture, the planned rise in 2018. In 2014: Serawai know the history of the tribe, the indigenous tribal life cycle Serawai, Serawai tribal art. 2015: knowing Serawai tribal marriage customs. 2016: Indigenous tribes know Serawai. 2017 draft Serawai Culture book. The nature of this study used a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques: in-depth interviews, observation and documentation is limited. Data analysis was carried out continuously from beginning to end. The results of the study of local wisdom bengkulu Serawai in the south are: 1). The life cycle: mbasuh hand, beterang, berayak or bersenandutan, betembang, andun, and andai-andai 2) Relationship with fellow: melami, jangan nundau keau naik akae, nidau ngibue ulu mandian jadilah, jangan gaduah  3). In connection with god: nueuni 4). In connection with the development of self : belaeam, neman atau benasu, ibau dan himat at 5). In connection with the economic peningktan: ngawuak and nyandau / holding 6. With regard to environmental preservation: pelestarian ikan dan rintis.
