Author Guidelines

MIMBAR Journal (ISSN 2252-5270 Print; ISSN 2620-6056 Online) is a multidisciplinary scientific journal published by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH.

The journal publishes original research articles in the field of social and political sciences to disseminate theoretical and empirical research findings.

1.      Mandatory Submission Requirements

Manuscripts will be automatically rejected without review if:

1)      File is not in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format (PDF is not accepted)

2)      Manuscript does not follow the journal template

3)      Word count is less than 4,000 words or exceeds 7,000 words

4)      Similarity index exceeds 20%

5)      Required sections are incomplete

 

2.      General Formatting (Based on Template)

1)       Paper size: A4 (210 × 297 mm)

2)       Margins:

a.       Top: 30 mm

b.       Left: 25 mm

c.        Right: 20 mm

d.       Bottom: 20 mm

3)       Layout: single columns (New Template)

4)       Font: Palatino Linotype

5)       Font size: 11 pt (main text)

6)       Spacing: Single

 

3.      Structure of Manuscript (Template-Based)

Title

1)       Font: Palatino Linotype, Bold, 13 pt

2)       Maximum 12–15 words

3)       Must be concise and reflect the content

4)       Avoid abbreviations and unnecessary phrases

Author(s) and Affiliation

1)       Font: Palatino Linotype

2)       Author names: Bold, 11 pt (centered)

3)       Affiliation: 9 pt (centered)

4)       Include:

a.       Department/Faculty

b.       Institution

c.        City, Country

5)       No academic titles

Abstract

1)       Font: Palatino Linotype, 9 pt

2)       Length: 100–200 words 

3)       Must include:

a.       Objective

b.       Methods

c.        Results

d.       Conclusion

4)       No references allowed

Keywords

1)       3–5 keywords

2)       Written below abstract

4.      Main Sections

Introduction

Must include:

1)       Background of the study

Written in 3–6 paragraphs.

Method

Describe clearly:

1)       Research design

2)       Data collection techniques

3)       Participants/sample

4)       Instruments

5)       Data analysis methods

Must be replicable.

Results and Discussion

1)       Present processed data (not raw data)

2)       Use tables/figures (centered, with captions)

3)       Provide interpretation

4)       Compare with previous studies

5)       Explain implications

6)       Mention limitations

Conclusion

1)       Answer research objectives

2)       Summarize findings (not repetition)

3)       Provide recommendations

Written in paragraph form.

 

5.      Tables, Figures, and Equations

1)       Must be centered

2)       Must be cited in the text

3)       Use clear captions (9 pt)

4)       Equations must be numbered consecutively

 

6.      Additional Sections

Declaration of Conflicting Interest : Authors must declare any conflicts of interest.

Acknowledgements (Optional) : Include funding or institutional support.

 

7.      References

1)       Minimum:  25 references (recommended for research articles)

2)       At least 70–80% from journal articles

3)       Preferably published within the last 5–10 years

4)       Use APA 7th Edition style

5)       Use reference manager (Mendeley/Zotero)

 

8.      Submission Process

1)       Submit via OJS

2)       Upload manuscript in Ms. Word format

3)       Follow template strictly
