Abstract

Social media has become a major platform where political information is widely disseminated and interaction between users is increasing. This research explores how political content, including fake news and public opinion, can influence voter perceptions. This research uses a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. The data collection is in the form of primary data and secondary data. . The results show that social media has great potential to influence voters quickly and on a large scale, thereby significantly influencing election outcomes. Presidential elections are an important political process in implementing democracy in a country. In the increasingly digital era, social media has played a significant role in the political campaign process. This research aims to investigate the role and influence of social media in the upcoming presidential election campaign in 2024. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to collect data about the use of social media in the presidential election campaign. The research results show that social media has become an effective means for presidential candidates and campaign teams to convey their political messages to potential voters.
